Pattern Release: Diyi Mittens

The Diyi Mittens are finally here!

After much hustle and bustle, I finally managed to finish the pattern I’ve been working on for the last month. It took a lot of work (and by work I mean knitflixing and taking pictures of my knitting at fancy cafés 😉 ). In all seriousness though, it’s been a learning process and I cannot wait to get started on another pattern!

You can purchase the pattern on Ravelry hereor you can sign up to my newsletter and get a coupon code to to purchase it for free! Just enter your email in the box below, it’s that simple!

Working on this pattern has used up almost all of my remaining yarn stash here in Malaysia.
For the beige mittens shown below, I used Garnstudio Drops Alpaca. Unfortunately, I ran out of it before I could finish tweaking the pattern and made the final adjustments using a New Zealand yarn called Outlaw shown below.

There is nothing, and I mean nothing worse than running out of yarn mid knitting project. To avoid this problem from happening again, I ordered some yarn from the Cotton House Store near to where I’m staying, and it should be arriving next week! I may have gone a teeny bit overboard in the amount of yarn purchased. But can you blame me? Who knows the next chance I’ll get to buy more yarn? Fingers crossed it will fit into my backpack.
The Diyi MIttens knitting pattern is finally here! The Diyi Mittens feature are worked in the round using the Magic Loop technique and feature a simple skyp stitch pattern on the front hand side with stockinette stitch on the back hand side. They knit up quickly and make lovely gifts!
