WIP Wednesday in Bali

I am way overdue for a WIP Wednesday post (WIP = work in progress for those new to the wonderful world of knit slang). Lately it feels like all I’ve been doing has been jumping from place to place, trying to find the occasional few minutes to work on a project.

Right now I am tired, sore and sweaty, hanging out at the La Boheme hostel on Gili Trawangan island. I just got back from trekking the Rinjani volcano in Lombok (a small island right next to Bali) over a three day period. It was amazing, and you can read about my experience here and here!

In the knitting world, I managed to finally finish my Simple Skyp socks that were sitting on my to-do list for way too long. Another FO (finished object) to add to the list.

Now all that is left on my list of UFO’s (I’ll let you decipher that one) is my brioche scarf. I still have a few extra balls of Drops alpaca to start up a new project or two. I’m thinking another pair of socks, because who doesn’t love socks? Even when you’re on the top of Rinjani, they can double as warm mitts!

For the pattern, I want to do something a bit more challenging, so I’m thinking of trying the no. 7 as featured in this post, 7 amazing sock patterns for spring.

I’m heading over to Canggu, supposedly a chill surfer hangout just north of the infamous Kuta for a few days. Surfing and knitting sounds like an excellent combination!
